The temple is the highest among all the temples in Khajuraho up to the tip (shikhara). The Mahadev shrine and Devi Jagdambi temple share this temple’s platforms. The way to see the temple is pradakshina which means to walk around the temple in a clockwise direction. The temple’s base has architectural moldings showcasing court life.
