The temple is the highest among all the temples in Khajuraho up to the tip (shikhara). The Mahadev shrine and Devi Jagdambi temple share this temple’s platforms. The way to see the temple is pradakshina which means to walk around the temple in a clockwise direction. The temple’s base has architectural moldings showcasing court life. Above this are figures on the walls, including Lord Shiva as a bridegroom and women doing everyday activities. The southern part shows couples in an embrace. To explore the Western Group Temples, you can stay at one of the luxury hotels in Khajuraho nearby. The LaLiT Temple View Khajuraho is located close to the airport, offering impeccable hospitality and luxurious services in a palatial setting.

Javari Temple
